ROOTS: Inspiring Growth, Bridging Worlds
ROOTS Organization began with a single mission: to empower, connect, and transform. Founded by a passionate first-generation Nigerian-American student, ROOTS emerged as a response to a deeply personal calling, to bridge the gap between culture, education, and community, especially for immigrant youth and underserved families.
What started as a simple club quickly blossomed into a vibrant, youth-led movement rooted in identity, compassion, and service. From free language classes in Yoruba and Igbo to academic mentorship, health outreach, and global leadership training, ROOTS has become a platform where culture is celebrated, voices are amplified, and change begins at the grassroots level.
Through initiatives like the ROOTS Wellness Outreach, CPR training workshops, Outreach Drive and the Healthy Roots Initiative, members learn not only how to thrive—but how to help others rise with them. From digital literacy classes for elders to talent shows and cultural showcases, every event is an invitation to belong.
